Your Morning Dump... A look at KG's week in China

Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here… highlighting the big storyline. Because there's nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump.

Garnett's four-city journey in China includes Guangzhou, Wuhan, Shenyang and Beijing over the next 10 days. As with the other NBA stars touring China this summer, KG was asked about the potential of playing in China if the lockout impacts next year's season. The 14 time NBA All-star says, for now, he's playing it by ear.

The Celtics star was greeted by a large throng of boisterous fans. The crowd was fired up for the chance to get up close to their hero. The big ticket showed off a few of his skills, which included a slam dunk. K-G then took part in a sport more fitting to his Chinese fans as he picked up a paddle and took the chance to participate in a table tennis match.

Does KG really want to play overseas? He's not a guy who seeks the headlines. He doesn't need the money.

His body could definitely use a break, but eight to ten months without basketball might be too much rest. I

Here's video of Garnett arriving in Guangzhou and discussing his options.

The Chinese Basketball Association has yet to decide if it will allow NBA players to sign contracts with an opt-out clause should the lockout end.
