Raptors Rewind (Stats & Video): Raptors fall to Cavs again in Game 2, 2016 NBA ECF, 108-89.

Sabres Subway Line

Game 2 of the 2016 Eastern Conference Finals had a very similar feel to Game 1…and much to the Raptors’ dismay, a similar result. The Raptors kept pace with the Cavaliers until late in the 2nd quarter, before the Cavs went on a 16-2 run over the final 3:43 of the second quarter to turn a 46-46 tie game into a 62-48 halftime lead.

The Raptors played a solid second half, but were not able to cut into the Cavaliers lead, simply trading baskets and not getting enough stops defensively to make a run. The Cavs went on to win the Game 2 by a convincing margin, 108-89.

In the Cavs win, LeBron James earned a triple-double, and James also moved to fourth place all-time in NBA playoff history for points scored, passing Shaquille O’Neal.

Game 3 of the 2016 Eastern Conference Finals will tip off Saturday May 21st at 8:30pm ET in Toronto at Air Canada Centre.
