Rashad Jennings backs Eli Manning’s playoff claim

It’s been quite a loquacious week for Giants running back Rashad Jennings.

Jennings stands with Eli Manning’s assessment that the Giants are “definitely” a playoff team, according to NFL.com. Speaking about himself earlier in the week, the 31-year-old Jennings said that he’s just entering his prime.

Manning didn’t quite guarantee that the Giants will make the playoffs in 2016, he just said that the Giants have the talent to get there. Even if it was a guarantee, the Giants have a good history with playoff guarantees. Jim Fassel assured the skeptical media of a playoff berth in the middle of the 2000 season, and the Giants went all the way to the Super Bowl.

The Giants went 6-10 last season, but eight of those losses came by six points or less. Manning has shown that he has the magic touch to turn some of those close losses into wins this season.

At least Jennings seems to think so.
