Report: C.J. Prosise could return for playoffs in a ‘best-case scenario’

Philadelphia Eagles v Seattle Seahawks

Seattle Seahawks running back C.J. Prosise suffered a shoulder injury in the second quarter of Sunday’s 26-15 win over the Philadelphia Eagles, and head coach Pete Carroll recently told reporters “he’s going to be out for a while.”

Per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Prosise could return for the playoffs in a “best-case scenario.”

Prosise, a third-round draft pick out of Notre Dame, racked up 153 yards from scrimmage against the New England Patriots a week ago, and he scored on a 72-yard run before leaving Sunday’s game.

Thomas Rawls, the team’s leading rusher a year ago, is expected to finish the season as Seattle’s workhorse back. Rawls returned from a fractured fibula in Week 2 to rush for 57 yards on 14 carries against the Eagles on Sunday.
