Trevor Siemian not worried about Tony Romo rumors

Denver Broncos v New Orleans Saints

Denver Broncos quarterback Trevor Siemian is focused on Sunday’s game against the Kansas Chiefs instead of worrying about his job next season.

There has been speculation that Tony Romo is interested in a potential trade to the Broncos now that Dak Prescott has taken over as the starting quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys. Romo, 36, is a four-time Pro Bowler and would almost certainly be the starter in Denver so long as he stays healthy.

Siemian was asked about the possibility of Romo taking his job, and it didn’t seem to phase him.

“Not too worried about it,” Siemian told reporters Wednesday, via Troy Renck of KMGH-TV in Denver. “Truthfully, this a really important game for us. Got plenty of focus towards this coming Sunday, so can’t worry about that kind of stuff.”

Siemian has thrown for 2,028 yards, 12 touchdowns and seven interceptions in his first season as the Broncos starting quarterback. He’s not a world-beater, but the import thing to remember is the team is winning. Denver is 7-3, and Siemian has won all but two starts this season.
