What Do You Want To See? TTUN

Is he or isn't he a Heisman candidate? Let's hope the Buckeyes help answer that question in a good way.

Well, it’s finally here.

The week for which all Ohio State football fans wait.

It’s Xichigan week. But this year it’s not just about beating TTUN. It’s about a spot in the College Football Playoff and a spot in the B1G title game.  If TTUN wins, its in the title game. If OSU wins, it needs Sparty to beat Penn State to make it.

The winner still has a better than great shot at making the CFP, while the loser is pretty much done with two losses.

We here at tBBC want to see TTUN leave with that second loss.

But what else do we want to see?

A good-looking win: While any type of win will almost lock a spot in the playoff for Ohio State, it would be nice if the Buckeyes looked good in the process.
Curtis go crazy: Curtis Samuel is Ohio State’s Dexter Fowler (see: Cubs). When he goes, the Buckeyes go. Get him the damn ball.
Make Peppers salty: I think Jabrill Peppers is a legit Heisman candidate. End it Saturday.

Expose No. 5: Take it straight to him just like before and show the world that he isn’t as special as the world is making him out to be. I like Peppers and think he is a good football player, but he is not a Heisman candidate.
Expose Hairball: Show the world that he is not a special coach. End the love affair the national media is having with him. Make him have to coach in tight situations and show why he won’t stay in TSUN much longer.

On a micro level:  I’d like to see J.T. Barrett’s accuracy improve (no weather excuses). If he can confidently complete a few mid-range passes to open things up I’d like to see the offense attempt a vertical attack. Mike Weber Jr., will have his day regardless, but I’d like to see Curtis Samuel have no less than 15 touches.
On a macro level: I’d like to see this very aggressive defense help the Buckeyes win the turnover battle. With Bill Belichick level mystery surrounding Wilton Speight’s injuries at QB, the Silver Bullets will be licking their chops for any opportunity that comes their way. Malik Hooker meet Ball, Speight meet Sam Hubbard.

While J.T. Barrett is good with his feet, a few short passes could open up the vertical game.

A win: I don’t care about anything else. Win the @%#^$&#% GAME. That’s what I want and need to see. (Although our guys getting through without any major injuries and Peppers looking like trash in a performance where his overblown so-called Heisman campaign is destroyed would make for a fun Sunday).
