Tom Brady surpasses 60K passing yards, fifth QB to do it

New England Patriots v San Francisco 49ers

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady added to his long list of career achievements during Sunday’s game against the Jets.

It was fitting that he did it against the team he’s torched most over the years, but Brady completed a pass to Julian Edelman in the second quarter, which gave him 60,000 passing yards for his career. He became only the fifth quarterback to ever accomplish the feat.

It happened on a routine completion to Edelman for seven yards. The Patriots were faced with a third-and-five situation, but Brady found his man over the middle to move the chains.

Brady was listed on the injury report heading into the game with a knee injury, but played through it. It appeared as if he was affected by it, as a few of his passes were off target in the first half. Still, he toughed it out, and achieved this milestone in doing so.
