Demetrious ‘Mighty Mouse’ Johnson officially has his next title challenger.  Tim Elliott defeated Hiromasa Ogikubo on the finale episode of TUF: Tournament of Champions which aired tonight, earning himself the season championship and an automatic shot at Johnson’s UFC Flyweight Championship, which takes place this Saturday night in Las Vegas.

Elliott, who entered the show as Titan FC’s champion, beat Charlie Alaniz (Hex Fight Series), Matt Schnell (Legacy FC), Eric Shelton (Caged Aggression MMA), and Ogikubo (Shooto) to take the title.

This isn’t Elliott’s first rodeo, as he had a UFC run from 2012 to 2015, going 2-4.  While his record during this run wasn’t pretty, all his losses came to killers – John Dodson, Ali Bagautinov, Joseph Benavidez, and Zach Makovsky.  He’s been perfect since being released by the UFC, winning three-straight in Titan FC, all title fights.
