Jose Ramirez crushed two home runs in Sunday’s win over the Tigers, and one of them was made possible by a stroke of luck.
Ramirez came to the plate in the first inning and smashed a pitch to deep left, and the ball actually bounced twice on the wall, which would’ve resulted in a double. However, Tigers outfielder Mikie Mahtook reach up with his hand and smacked the ball over the wall, which wasn’t very smart.

Mahtook’s gaffe awarded Ramirez a home run, and he would later hit another.
