Good luck to Ravens in Londontown, hon’ !!!

aRavJagLondon

This is something that pops up on your schedule about six months ago and if you’re a Ravens coach you go “ugh”…

Yet the Ravens coaching staff and general manager Ozzie Newsome all agreed that the team should defer the obligatory “bye week” after making the London trip, and save that valuable time of rest and recuperation for Week 11…

Interesting decision…

Kinda tells me the Ravens think they can return from London with a 3-0 record, then weather the storm against Pittsburgh and Oakland over the next two weeks to stay relevant and prepare for a late season run.

Ravens take on Jacksonsville in Wembley Stadium, London, this Sunday, which is 5 hours ahead of East Coast USA time.

The game kicks off at 9:30 a.m. ET, so grab breakfast and settle in, as Ryan Mink of Ravens Media advises..

Here are the many ways you can tune in:

1)     Locals can watch just as they always do

The game will be broadcast on CBS only locally in the Baltimore and Jacksonville areas.

The Baltimore area, as defined by the NFL, consists of Baltimore City and nine Maryland counties: Baltimore County, Harford County, Carroll County, Cecil County, Kent County, Queen Anne’s County, Howard County, Anne Arundel County and Caroline County.

For those outside of the area …

2)     Watch here on BaltimoreRavens.com

For those on their desktop computer or using our mobile site (not mobile app), the game will be streaming live on the homepage.

3)     Go to Yahoo.com

Yahoo and Yahoo Sports will also stream the game live free of charge. Here’s the link, and you can even set a game reminder in case you sleep in.

4)     Watch on NFL.com or NFL Mobile (Verizon Wireless customers)

You should really watch on BaltimoreRavens.com, but if you’re looking for another site, NFL.com will also have a live stream of the game. Verizon Wireless customers can watch on the go via the NFL Mobile app. The NFL app on Xbox One and Windows 10 will also have the game.

5)     Other websites will have it too

The game will be shown across the Oath and Verizon networks on desktop, mobile and connected TVs via these other websites: go90, AOL, HuffPost, Tumblr, Complex, RatedRed.

DirectTV Sunday Ticket WILL NOT carry the game, so subscribers should use one of the other five ways above to watch.

Fans can also listen to the game, as always, on WBAL (1090 AM) and 98Rock (97.9 FM), where Gerry Sandusky, Stan White and former Ravens tight end Dennis Pitta will call the action.

As for the game itself with regard to personnel?

The Ravens aren’t the only banged-up team headed to London. The Jaguars have six starters on their injury report, including two who did not practice.

Center Brandon Lindler (knee) and safety Tashaun Gipson (ankle) both sat out Wednesday.

Cornerback Jalen Ramsey (ankle) and defensive tackle Malik Jackson (groin) were limited.

Quarterback Blake Bortles (right wrist) and wide receiver Allen Hurns (shoulder) were full participants.

Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said defensive tackle Brandon Williams’s foot injury isn’t a long-term issue, but added that there won’t be any other updates provided.

The first indication came Wednesday, as Williams did not take part in any practice.

Williams played 19 snaps in Week 2 against the Cleveland Browns before leaving the game, and he did not return.

The Ravens’ massive run-stopping force, who the team signed to a big extension this offseason, hasn’t missed any games over the past three seasons.

Baltimore has the league’s 12th-best run defense so far this year, allowing just 85 rushing yards per game. In yards allowed per attempt, the Ravens rank 18th (4.0).

Williams is a big part of that, but the Ravens also have starting nose tackle Michael PierceGood luck to Ravens in Londontown, hon' !!! as well as a lot of depth along the defensive line if Williams can’t play Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Carl DavisGood luck to Ravens in Londontown, hon' !!! stepped in for Williams against the Browns and played well. The Ravens also haveWillie HenryGood luck to Ravens in Londontown, hon' !!! and rookies Chris WormleyGood luck to Ravens in Londontown, hon' !!! and Patrick RicardGood luck to Ravens in Londontown, hon' !!!. Henry and Wormley were healthy scratches last week.

It looks like the Ravens will get outside linebacker Za’Darius Smith back on the field after missing just one game.

After not practicing at all last week due to a calf injury, Smith was a full practice participant Wednesday.

Smith logged a sack on the Ravens’ first defensive series of the season in Cincinnati. He looked to be ready to become a big part of Baltimore’s pressure packages.

Not long after, he went down in major pain, but the Ravens and Smith dodged a bullet and the injury wasn’t too serious. Last week, Harbaugh said Smith would have a chance to play against the Jaguars.

It would only add to the Ravens’ defensive pass rush, which also saw flashes from rookie third-round pick Tim WilliamsGood luck to Ravens in Londontown, hon' !!! last week. It will be interesting to see if Williams plays again if Smith returns.

The Ravens lost Pro Bowl guard Marshal YandaGood luck to Ravens in Londontown, hon' !!! to a season-ending ankle injury, and now they have three more offensive players on the sideline.

Running back Terrance WestGood luck to Ravens in Londontown, hon' !!! (calf), tight end Maxx WilliamsGood luck to Ravens in Londontown, hon' !!! (ankle) and wide receiverMichael CampanaroGood luck to Ravens in Londontown, hon' !!! (ankle) all sat out Wednesday’s practice.

West saw just three snaps in the second half of Sunday’s game against the Browns, in which he finished with eight carries for 22 yards and a score and two catches for 23 yards.

Buck Allen picked up the slack, posting 101 total yards and a receiving touchdown. The Ravens also liked what they saw from Alex CollinsGood luck to Ravens in Londontown, hon' !!!, who had 42 rushing yards on seven carries.

After making four catches against the Bengals in Week 1, Williams had just one grab for 5 yards on 28 snaps versus the Browns. Campanaro had one carry for 5 yards against Cleveland, and lined up some in the backfield with Danny WoodheadGood luck to Ravens in Londontown, hon' !!! (hamstring) on injured reserve.

Versatile defensive back/linebacker Anthony Levine was a limited practice participant Wednesday due to a chest injury. He’s also a key special teams member.

Levine is used on the Ravens’ dime packages and played 23 snaps (about a third of the defensive snaps) against the Browns. He has four tackles so far this season.

Undrafted rookie cornerback Jaylen Hill (thigh) is also still out. He hasn’t practiced yet during the regular season.

It would behoove the Ravens to scratch out a victory against the Jags in London. The regular season facing them when they return is a bear—when they could have easily accepted a bye week instead.
