Andrew Wiggins gets elbowed in face by Kyrie Irving, yet hit with foul

With his skillset, and the flashes of brilliance he’s already shown, it’s about time Minnesota Timberwolves forward Andrew Wiggins starts getting some calls go his way.

Or, at the very least, when he gets fouled, the officials should react accordingly, rather than calling it on the wrong player.

Kyrie Irving drove the lane late in the fourth quarter of Monday night’s game, and Wiggins rotated over to attempt to slow him down. Irving then elbowed him right in the face, yet was somehow whistled for the foul, presumably because his feet were still moving a bit.

Still, it was an awful call.

Be better, refs.
