If you were wondering about the team that had the most haunting loss that might stay with them through the rest of the season, well that would be the Carolina Hurricanes. First off, they had to start their season on the road in Manitoba, which is unfortunate enough, but they did everything right through 2 periods, jumping to a 4-1 lead, which they maintained through 45 minutes. Then? Derf. The Jets came back, scored three quick goals, the ‘Canes started unraveling and the Jets won. Carolina is irrevocably damaged.
