Cardsdiaspora: Everywhere We’re Not Supposed to Be

This weekend, Cardsdiaspora.com took over San Diego.

ATH was in town auditing our West Coast Operations.

CD roomate “Don Luc” proved that chivalry is anything but dead.

Fresh (WC) was given CBS Sports passes to The Farmers Insurance Open and through some incredible failure of security, got behind the ropes and hugged it out with the likes of Phil and Amy Mickelson, Jim Nantz, tourney winnner Bubba Watson, and the lovely family of Johnny Vegas, who was about 8 yards short of keeping it interesting yesterday. It says a lot about the changing face of the PGA when the leaders going into 18 are guys nammed Johnny Vegas and Bubba Watson.  I snapped a few Blackberry pictures just for you, friends:

Phil and Amy, formulating an escape plan.  Amy hugged me.

Bubba.  He enjoyed winning.

alt

Phil being Phil.

alt

Jim Nantz and the Mickelsons sharing a tender moment.  That’s Jim’s girlfriend to his right.
His voice was even
better in person.

Bubba was swarmed on the 18th green for about 2 hours after the final putt.

Fresh (WC) at the presentation of the Surfboard.

We spent the last hour expecting to be escorted by security from Torrey Pines, but instead were treated like VIPs.
