Maybe I shouldn't have been blown away that there are people out there buying and (shiver) wearing hair scrunchies. But I am.
First invented in 1984 as a wrist accessory and then modified to be a hair adornment in 1987, the scrunchie's lifespan had been solid.
Life moves on, though. And unless you're attending 90's themed Cardinals parties on the reg, go ahead and step back from this purchase.
And if you want to tell your hairdresser that you're game for something new, don't be surprised if he or she faints.
