John Oehser chips in with some great Vinatieri quotes today, inlcuding one I hadn’t considered.
“I would say I’ve gotten a lot less practice this offseason than I have in the past,” Vinatieri said. “But thankfully for me, I’ve done it a bunch of years, so it shouldn’t take too long to get it all back. It’s one of the timing things, with the new holder and that chemistry. We haven’t gotten a lot of work in yet, but we’ll do some major catch up and major work during training camp.”
We are all a little nervous about his status, but it had slipped my mind that with Smith gone, he’ll need a new holder. Let’s hope that doesn’t bite the Colts early in the year.
