Colts Thursday Injury Report

Here is the practice update for Thursday:

DID NOT PRACTICE:

Garçon, Pierre – Hamstring:  Garcon, who was limited Wednesday, missed all of Thursday’s practice.  With the Denver secondary thin due to injuries, the wide receivers were expected to be a big part of the game plan.  It’s never a good sign when someone moves ‘backwards’ in terms of practice time.  Friday’s practice will be the biggest indicator, but it doesn’t look good right now.

Johnson, Chuck – Foot: Johnson has been battling foot injuries all year.  He’s missed both days of practice this week.  His normal routine had been to practice Wednesday and Thursday and then sit out Friday for treatment.

Session, Clint (Papa Smurf) – Hamstring: It looks like Kavell Conner will get his second consecutive start this Sunday.  Session has been battling a hamstring injury for the past two weeks, and his inability to practice is a definite concern.  I expect him to miss the game on Sunday.

LIMITED PARTICIPATION:

Addai, Joseph – Knee: Joe has looked great this year, so his first appearance on the Colts injury report is definitely concerning.  The fact that Joseph has increased his workload as we get deeper into the week is encouraging.  The best indicator will be Friday’s practice, but I expect Addai to play.

King, Brandon  – Hamstring: The reserve defensive back was a full participation on Wednesday, so this was a practice injury.  It’s hard to tell the severity of practice injuries, so we won’t have a clear picture until Friday’s report comes out.

FULL PARTICIPATION

Freeney, Dwight – Rest: DFree was given his standard day of rest on Wednesday.  Nothing to see here.

Saturday, Jeff – Knee: Jeff Saturday, who is not yet 100% from his off-season knee surgery, was limited in Wednesday’s practice.  This was the first practice of the season when he was listed as anything but full, so it was a bit alarming.  The leader of the offensive line returned to full practice on Thursday, however, so Wednesday’s lighter workload may have just been precautionary.  I expect him to be fine come Sunday.

Powers, Jerraud – Foot: Jerraud Powers has had a sore foot all season.  For some reason we keep sticking him out there on punt returns, testing fate.  But I digress.  I expect Powers to play on Sunday and be his usual good self.
