Doppleganger

I was perusing the sources of traffic for 18to88.com, and I noticed a small site that I didn’t recognize.  Oddly enough, the new blog was like looking in a mirror.  An anonymous blogger proclaiming himself a homer, using Bob Sanders as a handle and throwing up posts referencing Watchmen, Battlestar Galactica, and even Smallville’s Kristin Kruek (who this guy loves and we hate).

I don’t know whether we should be flattered that our taste is representative of someone else as well, or worried that some Donnie Darko-like hole in the universe has opened at let in my inter-dimensional twin.  All I know is that if I wake up in a red curtained room, I’m going to be seriously pissed.

Ultimately, let me just say, “Welcome to the dance!” to this new blog, because anyone who announces a plan to pimp Gattaca is ok by me.

This story makes me want to puke.  Someone is losing their job.

Ooooooh Johnny Franchise.  How I love you so…

Oesher lists Manning’s 10 Most Underrated Moments.  I love it.  Number 10 made our Best Games list.

The Sporting News thinks the Colts need an upgrade at middle linebacker.  I think they need an upgrade at the “writer” position.  Brackett played wonderfully all year, until he got hurt. They are right that a lack of depth at MLB hurt the Colts, but it’s hard to upgrade the best coverage linebacker in the NFL.

Demond Sanders:  I probably would have mentioned this anyway, but since you brought up Smallville, check out the DVR synopsis for tonight’s episode…  “Hex” – At Chloe’s birthday party, a mysterious magician switches her and Lois’ bodies; the magician searches for her father’s book of spells so that she can conjure up his spirit; Clark’s deepest wish is granted by the strange magician. TV-PG, CC.

Wow.  When will the Smallville writers learn to avoid episodes involving magic, vampires, or children who age unnaturally fast?
