Every week, ColtsBrasil’s Paulo Netto selects a game-changing or representative play from the prior week’s game and breaks it down in fantastic graphic detail. Paulo has graciously agreed to share his analysis with Coltzilla in this series.
In this week’s edition, Paulo evaluates the on-the-field chemistry that is developing between Peyton Manning and Jacob Tamme:
Picture 1: 2nd & 8. Two wide receivers on the right and one on the left. Tamme as tight end.
Pictures 2 / 3: Wayne runs an out route. Garcon runs a route to the middle of the field. Tamme runs five yards ahead on his route.
Pictures 4 / 5: The offensive line creates a nice pocket. Wayne is open on the right. Tamme fakes to the left and turns to the right.
Pictures 6 / 7: Tamme makes the catch and get the first down.
Notes (via CBS):
– Manning threw to Tamme 17 times in the game against the Eagles, more than any other tight end this season.
– Tamme leads the tight ends in receptions (24) and yards (245) in November.
