Apparently Jeremy Jacobs and Ryan Miller had words last night

In all the chaos and shit throwing that is the NHL CBA negotiating process, we're glad to know that old team rivalries don't die. According to several sources, Jeremy Jacobs and arguably one of Boston's favorite goalies Ryan Miller had some heated words last night:

From Damien Cox:

The conversation went something like this.

“Let’s leave,” said Boston Bruins owner Jeremy Jacobs, turning to NHL deputy commissioner Bill Daly.

“It’s up to you,” replied Daly.

At that point during the talks between the NHL and NHL Players Association on Wednesday, a day that began as a continuation of the momentum generated on Tuesday, both sides were at the precipice, and the 2012-13 season was in jeopardy.

Earlier, Buffalo Sabres goalie Ryan Miller had angrily vented when the owners said they were disappointed with the players responses to an earlier offer and threatened to pull everything off the table.

NO DALY, YOU DON'T LET FUCKING JACOBS WALK OUT 'CAUSE HE DIDN'T GET WHAT HE WANTED. YOU TELL HIM TO SIT DOWN, STOP BEING A WHINY BABY AND NEGOTIATE LIKE AN ADULT. Here's a photograph of Jacobs/Daly at the moment of the exchange:

No confirmation that Miller called Jacobs "a little shit" — to be fair, Jacobs is — and that Jacobs countered by standing up and screaming RELEASE THE LUCIC!

There were also reports that Mario Lemieux was influential in yesterday's meetings, too, even though he wasn't there… or something. It could be just some Penguin witchcraft. No confirmation that he threatened to take his ball and butt statue home with him if the garage league didn't get shit done.

Today twitter is a bit sour on the negotiating process because nothing got done yet. Meanwhile fans are hoping Steve Burton is right.
