The Bruins have called up Trent Whitfield from Providence to be used on an emergency basis. This could be because Patrice Bergeron and Max Suave left the Bruins game against the Penguins on Sunday. Or it’s because the Bruins and AMC are partnering to promote The Walking Dead and figured that this is the perfect time to do it.
Also, Haggs dropped this lovely tweet on our asses.
Bruins recall Trent Whitfiield on emergency basis from Providence. Its sign Patrice Bergeron may miss some time w/injury suffered yesterday

In 41 games this season for Providence, Whitfield has 5 goals and 6 assists. That averages to a wonderful .268 points a game, which will definitely come in handy when he has to center the fourth line. So what’s the fourth line now? Paille-Whitfield-Thornton?
So that’s two guys who can’t score on a breakaway on the same line? Awesome.
