Bruins: Rask out with strained abs, groin

Tuukka Rask injury
So the update was supposed to happen Sunday and didn’t. And then Monday at 5pm and didn’t. But at some point yesterday evening the Boston Bruins finally released news on Tuukka Rask’s status.

BostonBruins.com  — Bruins General Manager Peter Chiarelli issued the following the update regarding goaltender Tuukka Rask who was injured during the Bruins/Islanders game on Saturday, March 3:

“Tuukka Rask sustained a lower abdomen strain/groin strain and will be sidelined 4-6 weeks.”

It happened while making what looked to be a fairly routine save against the Islanders. We’re blaming this on fucking DiPietro — that scrub’s injury bug is contagious.

To make up for the lack of goaltending depth in the system, the Bruins are signing Marty Turco — yep, fan betting Marty fucking Turco.

Turco and Tuukka sound the same right? Could always respell it to Tuurcco. A somewhat surprise signing but it’s better than the alternatives.

Obviously it sucks to lose Rask but it’s not the end of the world. No surgery is required and he could be back for the playoffs. Turco won’t be available to play for the Bruins in the post-season should Rask have a setback.

Welcome to the bWo Turc Turcoton.
