There's been a lot of speculation but now we have some confirmation. Dan Bylsma says Torey Krug is on Team USA's radar.

Of course, four years ago fucking Mike Komisarek was picked for Team USA until he got hurt, so the bar is low. But Krug's been solid defensively and a godsend offensively for the Bruins. This doesn't mean he'll make Team USA, but Bylsma and Co. would've been idiots for not giving him a glance.
Bylsma wouldn't confirm that Team USA is attracted to Krug's anti-monarchy stance in the NHL.
