Game Day 4 Preview: Bruins vs Hurricanes

Game Day 4 Preview: Bruins vs Hurricanes
Bruins kick off their first road trip of the season in Carolina, home of the once coveted, now hatred Tomas Kaberle.  As poorly as the season may have started for the Bruins (on the score sheet anyways), it’s worse for the Canes, who don’t even have a win yet.  It’s a good thing too, because if Carolina pulls ahead of Boston then some asshole, somewhere, is going to call it “The curse of Kaberle”, and then the DOY crew will be wanted for murdering the fool.

Julien has been talking about shaking up the lines a bit, and there isn’t much of a choice now that Krejci is going to be unavailable for this game.  So far, we’re not sure what happened to him, but there is lots of talk of a lower body/knee injury.  That’s just a cover up, what really happened is that he concussed himself after beating his head against a wall.  We can hardly blame him after watching his wings the past few games, Lucic has looked like he’s wearing cement gloves and Horton still looks as timid as a lamb.

Well, at least he’s wearing a helmet.

Word is that Seguin is going to be centering the top line tonight, grab your earplugs and cue the squealing pinkhats and fangirls…

Game Day 4 Preview: Bruins vs Hurricanes

I got a good feeling for this game, if the past few seasons tell us anything, it’s that the Bruins hate two things:  Home Games and Matinee Games.  Tonight’s game is away and at 7, so at least those pieces are in place.

Projected Roster:

Milan Lucic-Tyler Seguin-Nathan Horton Brad Marchand-Patrice Bergeron-Rich Peverley
Benoit Pouliot-Chris Kelly-Jordan Caron
Daniel Paille-Gregory Campbell-Shawn Thornton

Zdeno Chara-Johnny Boychuk
Dennis Seidenberg-Joe Corvo
Andrew Ference-Adam McQuaid

Tim Thomas
Tuukka Rask
This could make or break Seguin in the eyes of the fans/media.  Actually, strike that, it’ll probably break him either way.  If he does well, then expectations are going to be fucking astronomical.  If he does poorly, he’ll be a bust.

Thank god that nothing like this was done after the Bruins won the Stanley Cup….this is just more of a reason that the damn “Wooo!” after a goal needs to be changed.
