Game Day Preview: Bruins vs The Lesser NY Team

Game Day Preview: Bruins vs The Lesser NY Team
Oh happy day!  Word is that Thornton will be playing tonight, how we’ve missed him so.  Obviously we can’t fault the guy for sitting out a couple games after getting forty stitches, he probably didn’t want to be seen wearing a visor.  Whatever the reason, we’re just glad that he could be coming back tonight with that badass cut over his eye.

Game Day Preview: Bruins vs The Lesser NY TeamOriginally, Ryder’s face was going to be on Leia’s body, but…*shudders*

The Islanders tonight, hoping this effort against a New York team is a more complete one than Monday night’s debacle.

After the jump…a look at the playoffs

Well the Islanders are out of the playoffs, so not much to say there.  Lets look at the teams who can actually make it.  Buffalo won last night, so they’re in the playoffs as of right now and Toronto is eliminated.  Carolina has a VERY outside shot of making the playoffs if they can win their final three games, and even then it isn’t guaranteed

Montreal also won last night, clinching a playoff spot.  With just 2 games left for the Canadiens, Rangers, and Sabres, the outlook for round one of the playoffs isn’t looking any clearer and could easily be any of them.

Game Day Preview: Bruins vs The Lesser NY Team
Also worth noting that the Bruins have a decent chance at making the 2nd seed.

Projected Lineup:  Milan Lucic-David Krejci-Nathan Horton
Brad Marchand-Patrice Bergeron-Mark Recchi
Rich Peverley-Chris Kelly-Michael Ryder
Daniel Paille-Gregory Campbell-Shawn Thornton

Zdeno Chara-Johnny Boychuk
Tomas Kaberle-Dennis Seidenberg
Andrew Ference-Adam McQuaid

Tim Thomas
Tuukka Rask

Seguin is most likely out for the playoffs, so it I guess “make sense” to sit him for Ryder, which displeases us.  Speaking of displeasure…why the hell is Thomas getting the nod against the Islanders?? Great streategy, lets not rest our starting goalie, who is in his mid-thirtys, before the playoffs.
