Game Day Preview: Four Point Game. No Retreat. No Surrender.

Regular season games don’t get any bigger than this. In our minds, this is a playoff game.

Montreal is just two points back. A win tonight for the Bruins steals two points from the Habs and gives them a four point division lead. No overtime win tonight. No shootout win tonight. Bruins need to kill the Habs in regulation. Literally or figuratively. We really don’t care which.

Our dear Bruins have not beat Montreal this season. They’ve been outscored 10-6 in three games. Each game against Montreal, the Bruins have put on clinics in “What Not to Do While Playing Hockey.”

The rivalry hasn’t been the same the past two seasons. The team doesn’t get up for it. The fans don’t get up for it. That needs to change.

The Days of Y’Orr crew will be at TD Garden tonight. Help us out. From the drop of the puck, starting chanting. Let the Bruins know you’re there. If the Bruins go down a goal or two keep chanting. Harass Habs fans without getting violent and douchey. When the Canadien national anthem is sung (hopefully by Rene) sing along. Who cares. Do Jack proud and make that building vibrate.

Get wild. Make sure when you leave the TD Garden tonight you don’t have a fucking voice. This isn’t just a game. This is a playoff game.

After the jump….. Seguin scratched, Caron in and some awesome videos from sports greatest rivalry…..

We’re pumped about this game. The Bruins haven’t given us much reason to get pumped about Montreal games this season, but we think tonight will be different. We want the Bruins to beat them, and then beat them up as Jack would say.

Seguin is taking a seat. After his big goal in Dallas he had even less ice time the next game and now with the Bruins either giving Hamill a chance or showcasing him for a trade and Caron looking to make life tough in opposing creases, Seguin is the odd man out.

“Theres a lot on his plate right now. He’s lost a bit of an edge. Never bad thing to watch. never bad thing to get a rest,” Julien told reporters today. Is this what Seguin needs, or just another of example of what Greg was talking about?

We’re pumped about Caron. We love that kid. He’s not on Thornton/Boychuk level in terms of Days of Y’Orr fanboyism but he’s on the rise. Sure, he’s just a rookie and hasn’t proven anything. But we love his game. His crease crashing. His underrated toughness in the corners. If the proshop had Caron jersey t-shirts we’d own them already. Kick some ass tonight Caron.

Projected Roster:

Milan Lucic-David Krejci-Nathan Horton
Brad Marchand-Patrice Bergeron-Mark Recchi
Blake Wheeler-Zach Hamill-Michael Ryder
Jordan Caron-Gregory Campbell-Shawn Thornton

Zdeno Chara-Steven Kampfer
Dennis Seidenberg-Johnny Boychuk
Andrew Ference-Adam McQuaid

Tim Thomas
Tuukka Rask

Healthy scratches: Mark Stuart, Tyler Seguin

Bruins need to grind these bitches into the ground. Storm the net. Punch Carey Price in the mouth. But watch out for his cigarettes, don’t want to burn your hand. Basically at the end of the night, we want to see this:
