Happy Thursday Everyone!
It's November 1st which means that it is officially time to men across the globe to shave their beards and participate in some bad-ass mustach growing in the name of prostate cancer. That's right folks, I'm talking about Movember. Movember's mission statement is simple:
During November each year, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on thousands of men’s faces, in the US and around the world. With their Mo's, these men raise vital awareness and funds for men's health issues, specifically prostate and testicular cancer initiatives.
Last year Pizz was the only member from DOY to participate, but with the involvement of our friend CoachsSister we've decided to kick it up a notch. Greg has shaved his beard and is now hair-free for the first time in 7 years! Ah, what beautiful bloggers I have.
Our plan this year is simple: Involvement.
We want readers, other bloggers, fans, etc to join us as we grow mustaches throughout the month to support the end of prostate and testicular cancer. You can donate to the team or join our team right on our Movember page and 100% of whatever we earn goes right to that research. We don't want a dime, we don't need a dime, we're doing this for all the balls out there.
Fact is, you either have balls or you love balls and this is the perfect way to make sure that we stomp out prostate cancer because we believe that for every testicle out there, there is a partner in crime and this life is a 2 man operation.
As you all know, Kevin Paul Dupont recently said that bloggers don't do anything for charity. He's already been called to the mat on that by several other blogs out there who have done some great awareness for cancer research. Now it's our turn.
