Surgery for Daniel Paille; will we recognize him after?
It’s surgery for Daniel Paille after taking a wicked slapshot to the face on Monday. Picture above makes it look like Paille took a headshot in Halo.

Per BostonBruins.com:

Boston Bruins General Manager Peter Chiarelli
Daniel Paille has been diagnosed with a broken nose and facial lacerations after the injury he sustained in our game Monday night. He will undergo surgery on Wednesday, November 9 at Mass General Hospital in Boston to repair the injury. Dr. Thomas Dodson will conduct the procedure. Following the surgery, he is expected to be listed as day-to-day.”

So much for visors protecting the face. Here’s video of what happened.

Brutal. You could hear that crack from our seats in 306. Oof.

Good news is that’s only a busted nose and some scratches. Bad news is that we might not recognize Pie after he gets out of surgery.
