MLB Makes Changes to Disabled List

Players put on the disabled list will no longer have to sit out 15 games before they can return to action.  The new short term DL will have a minimum of 10 games a player must sit out.  This new rule may lead to more teams using the DL for minor or phantom injuries to allocated short term roster spots.

This rule change is part of the tentative new collective bargaining agreement which also changes the league  winner of the All-Star Game getting home field advantage during the World Series.
