  1. After last night. it was like a great burden was lifted from my (and probably Jon's) shoulders. Now, who is it that will start Monday? We'll find out. Today, a blacked-out in CT. game, where Josh needs to find his stride. And the others their bats!

  2. With Cormier on the mound, it shouldn't be too hard for our boys to find their bats, so let's just worry about Beckett finding his stride.

  3. A point about the confidence TiToe has developed in his closer, the famous young Mr Papelbon: with Papi due up in the 8th inning of a game the Red Sox are winning by a score of 5-3 at Atlanta, and with Manny already on the bench getting the day off, Francona substitutes JT Snow for David Ortiz.

  4. There was a double switch earlier in the game, Sam, when Kapler took over in LF and Youks moved to first. Snow was pinch hitting for the pitcher, Lopez.
Beckett didn't have his best stuff today, but he actually got away with his mistakes this time. And no gopher balls for a change. I'll take it, especially since the Yanks imploded in DC. Nice!
