Sam Bradford wants out of Philadelphia, but who wants him?

It took a couple of days, but on Monday, the news finally broke- Sam Bradford wants out of Philadelphia after the Eagles traded up to the No. 2 spot to get a QB in Thursday’s NFL Draft.

And who can blame Bradford? The fact that Philly gave up a plethora of picks for Jared Goff or Carson Wentz just months after signing Bradford to a 2-year contract extension worth $36 million pretty much  showed the Eagles faith in their current signal caller.

So now Bradford wants out.

The biggest question of course is, he wants out, but who wants Sam Bradford?

The teams with the biggest QB needs right now are Denver, San Francisco, and the NY Jets. The 49ers makes sense because Chip Kelly, who traded for and coached Bradford in Philly last year, is now the head coach in San Fran.  I just don’t see the Eagles trading with their former head coach in a straight up deal.  Denver just traded with Philly for Mark Sanchez, so it’s doubtful they do a second trade to add Bradford.

And then there are the NY Jets. Ah the Jets- want to call Fitzpatrick’s bluff? Then trade for Bradford in the next couple of days, preferably before the NFL Draft.

This would be the last chance for Fitzpatrick to realize he’s going to bluff himself out of a starting job in the NFL, and for the Jets to finally settle their QB situation.

Then again, the 49ers, Eagles, and Broncos could end up working a three team deal where somehow Bradford ends up reunited with Kelly, Kaepernick ends up in Denver, and Philadelphia ends up with a couple of draft picks.

Anything and everything is up for grabs right now, but apparently, none of the options mentioned above are even being considered in Philadelphia right now.  They want Bradford in 2016 to play and eventually groom Wentz or Goff to take over in 2017.

The Sam Bradford situation isn’t about money, it’s about being happy, and apparently, he’s not happy with the direction the Eagles have decided to take. Whether he gets traded or not remains to be seen, but it sure is an interesting story to read into just days before the NFL Draft.
