A-Rod Retirement News Saddens/Delights Fans

Wednesday, Alex Rodriguez made the announcement that plenty of us knew was coming. Eventually.

He’s ready to call it quits.

“I won’t play after next year,” Rodriguez told ESPN. “It’s been a lot of fun. It has been very challenging at times, but it has been an incredible learning experience.”

It makes sense, really. Dude will be finishing up his 10-year, $275 million contract with the New York Yankees and, at 42, you’ve got to think it would be hard for him to find employment.

However, after a career that has seen its share of ups and downs…there were a number of fans that were heartbroken.

But not everyone was upset.

Whether you like the guy or not, one thing is for sure. Based solely on his Twitter account, the A-Rod Redemption Tour is still in full swing. I mean, seriously…look at these kids!

Rodriguez echoed his social media sentiments verbally as well.

“I’ve really enjoyed my time. For me, it is time for me to go home and be Dad.”

So…do we cheer A-Rod? Do we boo him?!?

I’m so conflicted.
