Bob Uecker to Get Second Statue in Milwaukee

It's not uncommon for a team to honor one of their fan favorites with a statue.

But…two?

Yup, that's what the Milwaukee Brewers are planning on doing…honoring their longtime broadcaster Bob Uecker with a second statue at Miller Park.  But while the first one stands outside the homeplate plaza, this one will sit in the last row of the upper deck…a nod to his iconic Miller Lite commercials.

"Bob Uecker is synonymous with the Brewers, and his famous 'I must be in the front row' tagline is iconic," Brewers COO Rick Schlesinger said. "This statue will definitely become a destination for fans visiting Miller Park."

According to the team, the statue will, fittingly, be in the "Uecker Seats"…a section of the park where obstructed-view seats sell on game days for only a buck.

"I can't think of a better place to put this statue," said Uecker. "This will be great for fans and even better for pigeons. You might even be able to see a little part of the field."

Good work, Brewers.
