“Bodacious” Event Invades Fenway Park

If you haven’t heard about it yet, Fenway Park is hosting around 75 of the best snowboarders and skiers from around the world.

The event? The Big Air at Fenway U.S. Grand Prix and, yeah, it looks about as cool as it sounds.

Just check out the centerpiece of this thing…an incredible 38-degree, 140-foot high ski slope.

“Putting this stadium inside Fenway Park is a bodacious, bodacious concept,” Calum Clark, vice president of the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association, said.

Bodacious!

“This is one of the biggest things we’ve done, and it’s completely new,” Red Sox director of special projects Fred Olsen added. “That’s part of what we’re shooting for — a new atmosphere for us to present to, hopefully, a new demographic. It’s no secret that we’re trying to reach out to a younger audience on the baseball side, and we’re definitely hopeful that this event showcases Fenway Park to some of those new people who may not otherwise come down here.”

Radical!

The crowd at Fenway is expected to exceed 20,000 fans.
