C.J. Wilson is continuing to put together a pretty impressive slash line. And, no, I'm not talking about his statistics on the baseball field.
Sure, the lefty led the Los Angeles Angels in wins this past season, but it's been his extra curriculars that have made him stand out from the crowd. Imagine this, dude owns a racing team, a car dealership (in suburban Chicago, of all places), has professionally photographed his supermodel fiance and now, well, now, he's dabbling in acting.
Tuesday night, Wilson appeared as a wedding guest on an episode of the FOX hit "The Mindy Project" (Hulu Plus subscribers can see him at the 17:30 mark here) alongside fellow athlete, retired football player Shawne Merriman. The pair joins a growing list of athletes who have appeared on the FOX sitcom. Some others that have taken the leap to television, include a handful of NBA stars…Kris Humphries, Amar'e Stoudemire, Danny Granger and Baron Davis.
And, I know, before you point it out…this isn't Wilson's first foray into acting. Before the 2013 season, he and his Angels teammate, the then-newly acquired Josh Hamilton appeared in a series of Head & Shoulders commercials.
