When Cole Hamels takes the mound for the Philadelphia Phillies' season opener Monday, the world is going to be paying attention to one thing. Is he still rockin' that glorious lip sweater?
The lefty, who had been sporting a beard throughout Spring Training showed up to Friday's exhibition game with a little treat for everyone watching.
Now, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that I don't think Philadelphia has seen anything that majestic since Mike Schmidt was taking up residency in the "City of Brotherly Love". Oh, and to make sure everyone in the stands got the full effect…dude even took to the hot dog cannon!
Now, there's no word as to whether or not Hamels is going to keep his furry friend…but you can add me to the list of those hoping he does. I mean, he's gotta do something to begin to clense the internet's palate of this epic display of douchebaggery, right?
