Longtime Padres Player/Coach Rips Fans

Tim Flannery is mad as hell and he’s not going to take it anymore.

The former San Diego Padres infielder and coach took time from his vacation to channel his inner Howard Beale and lash out at fans who bashed him for leaving the team for seemingly greener pastures with the San Francisco Giants.

“We got run out of town, me and (Bruce Bochy), after he won,” Flannery wrote. “It’s time now to grow up, get over it, quit demanding from me, and quit being fooled by some of the smoke and mirrors. Quit being ignorant.”

Yikes.

“I’m done playing with gloves on. Leave me alone, I am part of baseball history, even in your town. You do something for once,” Flannery added. “Get your head out of your arse.”

Wow, right? But dude wasn’t done.

“I can’t listen anymore that I’m a trader by leaving, after being forced out a long long time ago,” Flannery continued. “Your teams front office doesn’t want me around.”

Who knows how this whole ordeal is going to play out. Matter of fact, who really knows if it’ll even make a blip anywhere outside of Flannery’s nearly 3000 followers in the Twittersphere.

But one thing is for sure, and Flannery put it best…you shake the cage, you get the beast.
