Maikel Franco Bomb Breaks Teammate’s Windshield

You would think we would have reached a point where baseball players would make every attempt to avoid parking their cars in any area where long distance home run balls in batting practice would avoid getting hit.

Unfortunately for Freddy Galvis, that was not the case Tuesday.

A long bomb launched by third baseman Maikel Franco in batting practice prior to the team’s Grapefruit League opener against the Toronto Blue Jays found its way to the windshield of Galvis’ ride. Needless to say, it did not go so well for the windshield.

Franco isn’t at the point (yet) where he has the disposable income to simply buy Galvis a brand new car to replace the damaged windshield, but one quick call to Safelite should fix that right up.
