Remember last October when the Los Angeles Dodgers mocked the Arizona Diamondbacks “playoff tradition” of jumping into the swimming pool just past right field?
Something tells me they won’t be as upset about this one.
Thursday night against the Diamondbacks, Neil Walker hit his 16th home run for the Pittsburgh Pirates into what, he thought, was that very same swimming pool. And he was so sure about it, he made a bet with teammate Jordy Mercer who had disputed the second baseman’s claims. The wager? You guessed it…the loser had to take a dip while television cameras rolled.
Well, as you can see on the video below…Mercer was right. And Friday night, Walker had to pay up.
