Ortiz, Pedroia Top Jersey Sales List

It’s one of those things that means absolutely nothing…but, for some reason, I’m always intrigued to read about it.

MLB.com has released its breakdown of the best selling jerseys and it should come as no surprise that two members of the Boston Red Sox top the list.  That’s right, between October 30, 2013 and this past Saturday, more people got online to buy David Ortiz and Dustin Pedroia jerseys than anyone else in baseball.

Not really a surprise considering the duo had just helped the Red Sox win their third World Series in ten years.

According to reports, sales of Ortiz’s and Pedroia’s Majestic jerseys are up 932 percent and 379 percent, respectively.  Third on the list?  New York Yankees captain Derek Jeter.

After that it gets interesting…St. Louis Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina is fourth and a pair of National League award winners, Clayton Kershaw and Andrew McCutchen, are fifth and sixth.

Rounding out the top ten…Buster Posey, David Wright, Robinson Cano and Manny Machado.
