St. Louis Superman Stops Crime Outside Busch Stadium

Three months ago, a survey ranked St. Louis behind just Detroit and Oakland as one of the cities most in need of a superhero.

And, as luck would have it…they’ve already got one.

His name is Charlee Chartrand and he, well…he patrols the sidewalks outside Busch Stadium (he says “street performing laws” keep him from heading inside) dressed as Superman stopping crime before it spreads to the streets of the Gateway City.

Thursday, following the St. Louis Cardinals-Chicago Cubs game, dude went to action…breaking up a fight just blocks from the ballpark.  And thanks to our buddy Matt Sebek…there’s video!

Turns out, Chartrand’s job wasn’t done.

I have a sneaking suspicion patrolling the streets outside Busch Stadium during a Cards-Cubs homestand could be a full-time job for the St. Louis “Man of Steel”.
