Monday’s total solar eclipse left plenty in awe. Included…Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig.

Before Monday’s game against the Pittsburgh Pirates, the slugger was on the field, glasses on, with his head tilted to the sky.

After the victory, Puig (along with teammate Justin Turner) became that of which he sought.

And while the eclipse might have dominated the headlines (it totally did), it was Puig who ultimately got the last laugh in the form of a game-winning, extra-innings home run. When asked what was more important between the eclipse and the home run…Ruig’s response was a no-doubter.

“The eclipse only happens every 100 years,” Puig told reporters, “but my home runs.”

Of course.
