– very physically strong
– bullies opponents in the cage
– utilizes slams often
– very well coached throughout his career
– great striking defense
– superb stuffing takedowns
– lands lots of takedowns – almost three per 15 minutes
– used to fighting 155-pounders

 

Weaknesses

– old for a fighter
– doesn’t finish fights
– his best years appear to be behind him (only one win since 2011)
– never been able to get over the hump & capture a UFC title
– doesn’t land many strikes – gets outstruck by his opponents
– horribly inaccurate striker – only lands 31% of significant strikes
– poor takedown accuracy (41%)
– cardio has been a concern in past fights
– his chin seems to have become suspect – getting knocked out a lot
