UFC Live: Hardy vs Lytle Fighter Salaries

BC Helmet

It should come as no surprise that a guy nicknamed “Lights Out” doesn’t just know how to finish off opponents in the cage – he also knows how to finish off a career in style.  In his going away fight, Chris Lytle put Dan Hardy’s lights out, and then walked away with two of the UFC Live: Hardy vs Lytle end of night bonuses.  Which also shouldn’t be a surprise considering Lytle has now won a record 10 UFC end of night bonuses.  It all adds up to a $200,000 payday (plus a brand new Harley to ride into the sunset on) for Lytle for his work on Sunday, which is more than three times what he makes in a year as an Indianapolis fire fighter.  Good to know we as a society have our priorities straight!

Before we go any further, we should note that Wisconsin’s Athletic Commission doesn’t release fighter pay info, so none of the following salary data for the event is official.  However, you can get a fairly accurate picture of a fighter’s pay based on official purse info released from past fights.  So, based on that info, here is the estimated pay breakdown for the 24 fighters that traded blows at the event (but please remember – this is only an estimate, not official info, especially for any fighters that made their UFC debuts at the event).  These numbers obviously also don’t include any PPV revenue, undisclosed bonuses and/or sponsorship money any of these fighters may have made.

Update:  It turns out Wisconsin does release fighter purse info, so all figures have been updated to the officially released ones.
