Rangers 3, Penguins 2, OT

The New York Rangers (10-7-1) defeated the Pittsburgh Penguins (9-9-1) by the score of 3-2 in overtime, tonight. Forrecap and box score go to Yahoo! Sports and newyorkrangers.com.

…what a character win for this team. For them to come back after those two demoralizing goals just shows the heart of this team. What a fun ending. I was going insane.

…it’s tough enough to try and beat a team with Crosby, Malkin and Letang but when you have the refs against you as well it makes this win all the more sweet.

…Rangers don’t even have a chance to win this game without Lundqvist who was amazing tonight. Would have liked to see him compose himself a bit better, but hey his misconduct led to the tying goal so who am I to complain.

…Dubinsky showing he’s not just a goal scorer with his playmaking ability on the last two goals.

…while I loved that Callahan got the game winner, I was more impressed with his pk play. He is so fun to watch when the Rangers are man down.

…Gilroy’s best game in over a year.

…you think Avery high fived Christensen after he scored?

…really enjoyed the Rangers throwing the body around tonight. Especially Staal who for the second straight game was very physical. The tying goal was nice too.

…Girardi personified what it means to be a hockey player tonight. Nasty gash, gets stitched up and right back out there for a crucial penalty kill.

…by the way I hate Crosby.

…off tomorrow then the Rangers debut their third jerseys against the Bruins at MSG on Wednesday.
