Larry Bird stirred the pot recently when he suggested that star forward Paul George (leg) could potentially return late in the season. That’s music to Indiana Pacers fans’ ears, and whether it happens or not, the sheer hope of the return of their superstar player could help build momentum toward a playoff run.
Indiana has struggled with the absence of George and numerous other injuries all year, but outside of George they’re back to full strength and riding gritty defense to a turnaround. With February already under way, let’s ponder how Indy may fare over the next month by taking a look at their cheapest and most expensive games on the schedule according to Razorgator:
Most Expensive – 2/27/2015 vs. Cleveland Cavaliers | Avg: $142.10 | Get-in: $24
You know Pacers vs. Cleveland Cavaliers tickets are going to have great value when LeBron James and his Cleveland squad come into town and the average ticket price still isn’t even $150. Fans can get in for as low as $24 for this killer matchup, which naturally means some of the Level 100 seats are going to be had for a bargain, as well.
This one isn’t just about the value, though, as the Pacers are still within striking distance of a playoff spot and need every win they can get to make it happen. Stopping Cleveland’s explosive offense will be mission A, but if they can slow things down, Indy could have a shot. Fans will understand either way, of course, as the Pacers are at a severe disadvantage with their best player still trying to make his way back. Just a competitive game with a star-loaded Cavs team in town will suffice.
Cheapest – 2/9/2015 vs. San Antonio Spurs | Avg: $39 | Get-in: $2
If the Cleveland showdown wasn’t enough value for Pacers fans, they’ll really feel it when the defending champs come to town. Tim Duncan and the Spurs also had to deal with ill-timed injuries earlier in the year, but they’ve stormed back and are suddenly in contention for a top-three spot out West. They’ll come into Bankers Life Fieldhouse determined to get another win against an inferior opponent, but if Roy Hibbert can control the paint like Pacers fans know he can, Indiana will have a chance to dictate the pace of this contest. Regardless, the value of Indiana Pacers tickets is unbelievable in this one, as the cheap seats are just $2 and some of the better seats in the house will be able to be had for almost nothing.
