Patriots WR Danny Amendola explains carport that’s ticking off neighbors

Many New Englanders probably think it would be pretty cool to have a Patriot living in their neighborhood.

But some of the people living near Danny Amendola seem to view him as an obnoxious guy who’s ruining the neighborhood.

Many of Amendola’s neighbors in Providence, Rhode Island aren’t thrilled with a carport that the Patriots wide receiver built. There’s a feeling that the carport doesn’t fit in with the look of the historic neighborhood in a city that is about 20 miles from Foxborough.

Amendola said on WEEI that the carport is legal, and he built it so that he could get to practice on time in case it snows. New Englanders know all too well that clearing snow off a car takes time.

Assuming some of these complaining neighbors aren’t football fans, perhaps they’ll become fans and root for the Chiefs in Saturday’s AFC wild-card game so that they don’t have to wait until next month for Amendola to remove that carport.
