Penn State LB’s pregame headbutts leave him bloody

With all the talk in football about player safety and head injuries, you have to wonder why Penn State tried to dive headfirst (literally) into Saturday’s TaxSlayer Bowl against Georgia.

Penn State linebacker Ben Kline tried to pump his teammates up before the game by headbutting them at the end of his pregame speech, without a helmet. Maybe it seemed like a good idea at the time to him, but it obviously wasn’t, because all it did was leave his face bloody.

The Nittany Lions lost the game 24-17, and Kline lost some blood.
