Mobile Report Wednesday: Just can’t wait for football to begin

Hog Heaven responds to messages you send us from those handheld thingies.

I am patiently waiting on the season.

Robert Griffin III, America's quarterback

So are we, brother. So are we.

July 24 – Redskins open training camp, Richmond, VA

August 8 – Redskins @ Titans preseason game, 8:00 PM ET (Hello, Gregg Williams)

Eagles @ Redskins, 7:10 PM ET

How about some updates.

If you are using the old Hog Heaven app to receive updates, then no, you have not seen new Hog Heaven content. That app is no longer supported by the developer.

Sadly, Hog Heaven did not get advanced notice that service would cease, so we could not warn our mobile readers. Nor did the service provide a list of subscribers to broadcast the change. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Mobil readers can download our nifty new app by accessing redskinshogheaven.com on their mobile device. You will be asked if you wish to subscribe. When you say “yes,” the AlertRocket app will download to your handheld and you will receive future updates.

If you are reading this on your handheld, you've already taken that step.

Thank you for reading Redskins Hog Heaven.

When you comment to a Redskins Hog Heaven story via the mobile app, we get a "mobile report" of your comment, but nothing that identifies you. We publish the non-spam messages and our response on Wednesdays.

We get more comments through Twitter (@SkinsHogHeaven) and we post links to Hog Heaven stories on Facebook/RedskinsHogHeaven. Check us out there. To paraphrase Janet Jackson, put it in a letter, baby. Call me on the phone. We're not the kind of blog that likes to be alone.

Our new AlertRocket app replaced the old one that no longer pushes stories to your device. When you visit Hog Heaven on your smart phone, you should get a pop-up asking if you wish to subscribe. The app will download when you opt-in. Then you are golden.
