Josh Brown admits to assaulting wife

New York Giants v Minnesota Vikings

New York Giants kicker was suspended one game for allegedly assaulting his wife in what was described as “a single moment,” similar to the Ray Rice incident.

Recent details that have emerged show it was a lot more than that.

Brown will probably be cut by the team in the coming hours, and could be facing a lengthy suspension from the NFL, judging by what James Kratch of NJ.Com was able to uncover.

According to court documents, which Kratch was able to obtain, Brown wrote a letter to friends back in March 2014, and the details are harrowing.

“I made selfish decisions to use and abuse women starting at the age of 7 … I objectified women and never really worried about the pain and hurt I caused them,” he wrote.

“My ability to connect emotionally to other people was zero. My empathy levels were zero. Because I never handled these underlying issues I became an abuser and hurt [my wife] physically, emotionally and verbally. I viewed myself as God basically and she was my slave.”

We’re now led to question why the Giants and NFL didn’t do anything about the incident. They had to have known, on some level.
