Kyle Schwarber crushes ball, puts dent in outfield wall

Cubs slugger Kyle Schwarber has some serious pop, and when he makes solid contact, he has the power to destroy a baseball.

The Nationals learned that lesson during Game 5 of the National League Division Series on Thursday night, when he crushed a pitch from Sammy Solis off the outfield wall. Schwarber hit the ball so hard that it left a dent in the wall, which you can see below.

Schwarber ended up with a single when it was all said and done, mostly because of how hard he hit the ball, otherwise it would’ve likely been a double. The ball came off his bat at 114.8 mph, according to MLB’s Daren Willman.

He may strike out fairly often, but Schwarber can really do damage on a baseball when he does connect.
